DESCRIPTION
Jetta was a three-year-old Bedouin child widely celebrated at the Fair for her beauty. As part of the Jerusalem exhibit, Western visitors admired her for her energetic personality. Jetta’s father refused to separate his family after receiving several invitations (including one offer of $10,000) from Fair visitors to have Jetta stay and live in the United States.
