Biographical Sketch Mathias Spoeri died April 8, 1888, in St. Louis, and was survived by his wife, Maria Magdalena Spoeri (widow of Michael Fischer). Paul and Amelia Paul to Michael Fischer: Whereas Pelagie Rutgers leased lots 36 and 37 in city block 152 to Edmund W. Paul as trustee for Amelia Paul (his wife) on May 1, 1863, now Edmund W. Paul and Amelia Paul sell this leasehold property to Michael Fischer. Document filed by St. Louis Recorder of Deeds Julius Conrad on July 10, 1866. 1866 July 9 1 1 Deed of sale of land of James P. Thomas and his wife, Antoinette Thomas, of St. Louis, Missouri, to Maria Magdalena Fischer of St. Louis. Property is located in St. Louis city block 152. Property is the same property leased to Edmund W. Paul as trustee of Amelia Paul by lease from Pelagie Rutgers, dated May 1, 1863. 1871 Sept 9 1 1 Marriage contract between Matthias Spoeri and Maria Magdalena Fischer, widow of the late Michael Fischer, both of St. Louis, Missouri. Contract states that the couple intend to marry, and that Maria Magdalena Fischer will retain control of the property she now owns or hereafter may acquire. Contract was filed by the recorder of deeds on June 18, 1881. 1881 June 16 1 1 Deed of sale of land of Sarah R. Farrar and her husband, John H. Farrar, of St. Louis, Missouri, to Celia Dusard, wife of John B. Dusard, of St. Louis. Land is located in Aubert Place, St. Louis city block 3770 South. 1883 Nov 1 1 1 Deed of sale of leasehold of Maria Catharine Josephine Fischer (one of the two daughters and only heirs of Michael Fischer, deceased) of St. Louis, Missouri, to Maria Magdalena Sporee of St. Louis. Leasehold is located in St. Louis city block 152. 1885 Apr 4 1 1 Plat of survey of lots in Aubert Place Subdivision, city block 3770, ordered by M. Spoeri, and executed by F.C.P. Tiedemann, city surveyor of St. Louis, on May 13, 1887. Certified on May 19, 1887. (filed in oversize) 1887 May 13 OS: Si-Sta House lease from Mathias Spoeri to Adolph Wallner for a house at 2801 Franklin Ave., St. Louis, Missouri, to be used for a bar room and residence for a period of five years. 1887 Sept 1 1 1 Deed of trust for sale of property in St. Louis city block 3767 from Maria M. Spoeri to George N. Cooper. 1894 May 21 1 1 Certificate of title to lots 1 and 2 in block 8 of Aubert Place, city block 3767, owned by Joseph T. Donovan. Certificate of title compiled by Joseph Wachtel, examiner of land titles. 1894 May 25 1 1 House building contract between Maria M. Spoeri of St. Louis, Missouri, and Frank H. Warning of St. Louis. Agreement states that Mr. Warning "will take down and remove all injured walls & other parts, remove the debris, and repair, re-construct, alter and finish a certain brick dwelling house, no. 1627 Texas Avenue, partially destroyed by tornado." The agreement further states that Mrs. Spoeri has appointed Theodore J. Stille to be the architect and superintendent. Includes attached receipt of Frank Warning, carpenter and builder, 1428 Sullivan Avenue, to Mrs. Spoeri for extra work done, September 30, 1896. 1896 July 29 1 1 House building contract between Mrs. Mary K.J. Meyer of St. Louis, Missouri, and Adolph Wagner of St. Louis. Agreement states that Mr. Wagner will build a 2-story brick building on the east side of Euclid Ave. between Fountain Ave. and Maple Ave. in St. Louis. 1907 July 22 1 1 Graduation program for Washington School [St. Louis]. 1909 June 16 1 1 Contract of the Hyde Heating and Sheet Metal Works, 4854 Page Blvd., St. Louis, with Mr.[or Ms.?] Meyer, 1130 Euclid Ave., July 30, 1917, to install a furnace in Meyer’s home. 1917 July 30 1 1 St. Louis Title Company certificate of land title to lots 1 and 2 in block 8 of Aubert Place and in city block 3767. Title was vested in Maria M. Spoeri at the time of her death, circa August 28, 1904. Other individuals mentioned in the title history include Maria Katharina Josephine Wallner (nee Fischer), now the wife of Frederick (Fritz) Meyer, and Andreas Binninger. 1921 Aug 22 1 1 Typescript letter signed Alex P. Robinson, Standard Oil Company, Indiana, to Mrs. Mary K.
