The Teens Make History Academy is a hands-on workshop that provides a look into the world of museums—from exhibitions to marketing. Teens meet with professional staff, conduct museum challenges, and complete a capstone project with teammates.
Who can apply?
The TMH Academy is open to all high school students from the St. Louis metro area.
What are the benefits of participating?
Teens who successfully complete the TMH Academy receive a stipend and are eligible to apply for a paid apprenticeship in exhibitions or museum theatre—a job they can keep until graduation. Through the TMH Academy, teens also build professional skills and have the opportunity to meet students from all over St. Louis. Here's what some of our TMH Academy graduates have to say:
“It helped me to be able to think outside of the box.”
“The most enjoyable part for me about the Teens Make History Academy experience is the people. While in the program, I met a lot of people that I would have never met if it wasn't for the TMH Academy.”
“The Teens Make History Academy gave me a new outlook on what it means to be a professional leader and be a part of a team.”
