Theatre at the Missouri History Museum presents outside performing artists in one-weekend runs. We occasionally also have two weekend or longer runs. Performances will be chosen first based on clear, direct, ties to upcoming exhibitions. Strong connection to the museum’s mission to “serve as the confluence of historical perspectives and contemporary issues to inspire and engage our audiences” is also a requirement. This includes work that is grounded in local community groups, social justice and current events, and theatre for young audiences. Proposals that cannot be accommodated will be kept on file for future needs as well.
#1 in Civil Rights: The African American Freedom Struggle in St. Louis

Closing: April 15, 2018
World War I: Missouri and the Great War
Opening: April 6, 2017
Panoramas of the City
Opening: September 2, 2017
Closing: August 12, 2018
Decisions will be made six to twelve months out from the available calendar dates. A very limited number of longer runs may be possible, but must be booked 8-12 months out due to the high volume of programs at the Missouri History Museum (about 700 programs a year.) Performances may be in matinee or evening slots. We are currently accepting proposals for January 2017 through December 2018. Please indicate available performance times on the form.
