Duties and Responsibilities:

The Missouri History Museum seeks a Web Developer to maintain existing web applications, administer a web content management system, and help develop new web applications for a growing web presence.

Skills and Experience

Education

The candidate should have at least three years web development experience or a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and at least one year of web development experience.  He/She must have at least one year experience developing with a web scripting language including PHP, ASP, ASP.Net, Perl, or JSP;  must be very comfortable coding directly in HTML, CSS, Javascript, and SQL; be a self starter; and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Skills/Qualifications preferred:

• Experience developing with PHP5 and Mysql;
• Familiarity with the Drupal content management system;
• Experience working with Apache and Linux;
• Experience parsing XML
• Interest in St. Louis and Missouri History
