Through oral history interviews and photographs, the Missouri History Museum's exhibit, Vashon High Activists, chronicles how a small group of students from Vashon High School, St. Louis's second African American high school, had a brief but powerful role in the city's civil rights movement.
Join us for this panel discussion, moderated by Missouri History Museum Curator of Urban Landscape and Commujnity Identity Gwen Moore, and hear about the protests led by the Vashon High activists, their impact, and personal stories related to this courageous group of students.
