Digitized St. Louis Post-Dispatch (1874-2003) (ProQuest)

The St. Louis County Library (which serves St. Louis County) and the St. Louis Public Library (which serves the City of St. Louis) both subscribe to ProQuest's St. Louis Post-Dispatch (1874-2003) database, which provides keyword-searchable access to the Post-Dispatch for the years 1874-2003. If you are not in the St. Louis area, check with your local public library and/or university library to see if they subscribe to ProQuest's St. Louis Post-Dispatch (1874-2003) database.

Search tips

  • A search for "1221 South 7th Street" will likely not find instances in the newspaper for 1221 S. 7th Street or 1221 South Seventh Street. Be careful with your searching.

  • This newspaper was rendered searchable by optical character recognition (OCR) software, which translates scanned printed text into machine-readable (i.e., searchable) text. Oftentimes, the OCR software misinterprets the typeset letters.
