The Willie Lynch speech "How to Make a Slave" is an address purportedly delivered by Lynch to an audience in Virginia in 1712 regarding control of slaves. The speech is viewed by some as the force that shaped the American system of slavery and undermined racial solidarity among African Americans. But did the "How to Make a Slave" address really occur?
