Development Internship

The Missouri History Museum is accepting applications from students who are interested in an unpaid internship within our Development Department. This intern will help implement the annual fund development plan including the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and recognition of Missouri Historical Society membership. 

The intern can expect to:

  • Assist in data entry
  • Assist with the preparation of membership packets and other mailings
  • Assist with managing the Time Travelers program
  • Promote membership through onsite sales
  • Process and fulfill complimentary membership requests through Raiser’s Edge
  • Assist with membership and development event coordination and execution
  • Assist development staff by calling members
  • Promote and nurture productive working relationships
  • Assist with member events and programs 

Qualifications:

  • College junior or above in good academic standing
  • Interest in history and fundraising
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills in interacting with staff, members, and donors
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
