Parent & Me in Motion

Bring your children ages 2-5 to the Museum for an action-oriented version of Parent & Me! Kids will experience the history of St. Louis through movement. At 10:00 each day, families will visit a gallery to enjoy a few hands-on activities and one craft. From 10:25-11:00, kids will join professional dancer and storyteller Mama Lisa for an interactive movement workshop!

Week 1 (2/1): Ramblin’ Along the River featuring Panoramas of the City
Kids will shake, paddle, and roll as they boogie along with Mama Lisa to mimic travel along the Mississippi.
Week 2 (2/8): Project Peabody PE featuring #1 in Civil Rights: The African American Freedom Struggle in St. Louis
Hurry to join the fun for sports on the run from 1961. Kids will enjoy peewee-style track and field events.
Week 3 (2/15): Rainforest Ramp Up featuring The 1904 World’s Fair: Looking Back at Looking Forward
Gets ready for a romp around the rainforest of Central Africa where we’ll move it to the music.
Week 4 (2/22): Hats Off to Lindbergh featuring Panoramas of the City
Tip your hat and trot, two, three to keep up with Mama Lisa in a celebration of dance honoring Charles Lindbergh’s famous transatlantic flight to Paris in 1927.
