Journey back through the Ice Age to view some of Earth's largest and most awe-inspiring mammals in The Field Museum exhibition Mammoths and Mastodons: Titans of the Ice Age. Monumental video installations, hands-on interactive displays, life-sized models, fossil tusks and skulls—and even touchable teeth— bring these ancient giants back to life.
As a member of the Metropolitan Zoological Park and Museum District (ZMD), the Missouri History Museum receives property tax support from the citizens of St. Louis City and St. Louis County. Financial support from these taxes assists the Missouri History Museum with exhibition development and design, conservation of artifacts and documents and educational programming. As a “thank you” for their tax support, residents of St. Louis City and St. Louis County receive complimentary admission to the Missouri History Museum’s special exhibitions on Tuesdays, 2 p.m.-8 p.m. To receive a complimentary ticket, St. Louis City and St. Louis County residents must present a Missouri Driver License or a Missouri ID Card prior to entering the gallery.
Saturday, April 14 and Sunday April 15 is the annual GO! St. Louis Marathon and Family Fitness Weekend. The activities will minimally affect Forest Park traffic. Please visit GO! St. Louis for details on road closures. Marathon organizers anticipate the last marathon participant will exit the park at approximately 10:45 a.m. Please plan your visit accordingly.
