In addition to our regularly offered series for youth and family audiences, we offer special events for families that are free and open to the public on a drop-in basis throughout the year. Don't miss out on these fun events for the whole family:
MLK Family Celebration: During the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, families are invited to the Museum to learn about and celebrate the achievements of this American hero. Activities typically include live music, peace-inspired art projects, book giveaways, and movement workshops.
Winter Getaway: Bring your family to the Missouri History Museum for a fun-filled winter break at the end of December each year. We typically offer 4-5 days filled with live music, movement workshops, puppet shows, movies, art projects, scavenger hunts through the Museum's galleries, and more!
Healthy History Lovin’ Halloween Party: Kids are encouraged to put on their costumes and get moving and grooving at the Museum! This is a candy-free event, but kids always receive plenty of goodies. There are Halloween crafts, physical activities, and trick-or-treating in the galleries at this annual event that takes place on a weeknight prior to Halloween.
Special Exhibit Events: The Museum often offers events in conjunction with special exhibits.
